Of or related to meaning. In terms of authoring a webpage, the HTML should accurately describe the meaning of the page contents.
Semantic Markup
A method of writing HTML using HTML tags that add meaning to the content that is descriptive enough to allow both humans and robots to recognize it and make decisions about it. The markup is descriptive, useful and allows all users to understand the same information.
Semantic Web
Data on the Internet that computer programs are able to understand enough to process it.
SEO Copywriting
Writing webpages for humans by creating persuasive, informative content and for search engines by indicating what the page is about and using the right keywords in the right manner.
Serif
One of the five generic font categories, usually the preferred font family type for print presentation. Specific fonts include Times New Roman, Times, Georgia, New York and Garamond.

Scripting which is performed on the server before a page is delivered to the user agent.
