RSS
Really Simple Syndication. A technology which distributes headlines, update notices, and content to a wide number of people.
Running Foot
One or more rows of text in the bottom margin of a webpage made up of elements such as the page number, chapter name, or other standard webpage information.
Running Head
One or more rows of text in the top margin of a webpage made up of elements such as the page number, chapter name, or other standard webpage information.
SALSA
Stochastic Approach to Link Structure Analysis. A link analysis model which incorporates PageRank and HITS in ranking webpages as authorities and hubs.
Sans-Serif
One of the five generic font categories, usually the preferred font family type for online presentation. Specific fonts include Trebuchet, Arial, Geneva, Helvetica, Lucida Sans and Verdana.
Scamp
Preliminary layout of advertising or promotion ideas. Stands for "Stop Crude Advertising Material in Public".
Scent
The ability of a webpage to clearly indicate its purpose and guide the visitor toward a desired outcome.
