Components that determine search engine results positions that occur internal within a webpage such as content, navigation architecture, element correlation and html tags.

Optimization efforts for a website performed within the site such as Content Management, Code optimizing, Alt text images and internal architecture design.
Ontology
A hierarchical structure showing all relevant entities and their relationship in a website. Also could refer to a file which defines the relationship between words.
Ontology Inference Layer
OIL. A web-based ontology representation and inference layer combining frame-based languages with formal semantics and reasoning services to provide a general markup language for the Semantic Web.
Ontology Web Language
OWL. A set of markup languages designed to process the content of information instead of just presenting information to humans. It describes the hierarchical organization of ideas in a domain, in a way that can be parsed and understood by software. OWL has more facilities for expressing semantics than XML, and is part of the W3C recommendations related to the Semantic Web.
