Website Design Glossary
Matrix
A set of rows and columns used for organizing related items, or for arranging tables for a webpage.
Menu
A displayed list of options that a user may select, such as for choosing a command, hyperlink or format.
Mesh Topology
A network topology in which there are at least two nodes with two or more hyperlinks between them.
Message Correlation
The association of a message with a context. A key part of semantic search, it ensures that the requester agent can match the reply with the request, especially when multiple replies may be possible.
Meta
The portion of an HTML document that is not visible by users through normal use of the browser, but is readable by search engine robots for indexing.
Meta Data
Data that is hidden from human visitors that describes a webpage, such as its keywords, description, author, country, content rating, and indexing and robots follow data.
Meta Description Tag
Tag in the HTML source code that describes the contents of a particular webpage.
