Link Hoarding
A method of trying to retain all your Link Popularity and PageRank by having inbound links, but not linking out to other sites. This may not be an advisable tactic for several reasons - outbound links may improve your credibility and relevance for the search engines, outbound links may provide useful information for your visitors, many excellent websites which require a reciprocal link will not be utilized and if you are unwilling to link out to other site - they will be less likely to want to link to you.
Link Rot
Inability to connect with a url when clicking a link because of changing urls. These broken links increase in number over time.
Link Text
The text input to describe the link.
Link Validator
A software tool which verifies the working status of links within a website.
Linkability
To check the potential of a webpage for receiving inbound links.
Linkbait
Website content that is specifically created to draw inbound links, such as an article.
Load Time
The length of time in seconds that it takes for a webpage to open completely in the browser window.
