Geo Navigation
Links which are placed on each page of a website.
Geographic Targeting
Advertising being displayed only to viewers of specified geographic locations, usually as part of a paid adverting campaign.
GIF
Graphics Interface Format. A type of graphic understood by all graphic browsers. They are the most flexible graphic format, allowing transparent backgrounds and animation. It is restricted to 256 colors so it is fine for sketches and images with very simple coloring, but poor for photographs.
Gisting
The analytical task of replacing a verbatim text with the sense or main points of a communication.
Global Navigation
Hyperlinks that are displayed on every page of a website.
Google Sitemaps
XML Sitemaps which allows webmasters and web designers to create a sitemap file, which allows their site to be more easily cataloged in Google web searches. It is especially useful for new websites, sites with many dynamic pages, or websites with many content pages but no or few hyperlinks between them.
