Website Design Glossary
Font
A complete set of characters in a particular size and style of print.
Font Category
aka Master Family. One of five generic font types - Serif, Sans-serif, Script (or Cursive), Monospace and Fantasy.
Font Property
Allowable adjustments to the basic font selection, such as size, family, variant, weight and style.
Format (webpage)
The shape, size, and general makeup of a document.
Forward Link
A link from a website to a different website.
Frames
A way to subdivide a single webpage into independent sections. Not recommended.
Fraternal Mirror
Two or more websites which are not 100% identical in literal content or design, but offer the same core unique content. Such sites are sometimes intentionally designed to look different.
