A reference to the top portion of a traditional newspaper. The portion of a webpage visible to a visitor without scrolling down.

The generic name of the page on a search engine or directory where you submit your webpage to request indexing.
Adjacency

The relativity of traffic to a website. One is the greatest traffic site. It is believed to rank about the top seven million traffic sites.

Software or rules using a mathematical formula to rank websites or webpages. A logical detailed process to achieve a specified result. Although search engine algorithms are very confidential, they likely include things like the number and quality of inbound links, keyphrases, title tags, meta descriptions, headings and alt text.
